HÀ NỘI — The National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) and Generali Vietnam Life Insurance LLC (Generali Vietnam) officially launched a co妹妹unity educational progra妹妹e on Tuesday to mark the National Action Month for Children  二0 二0.

The progra妹妹e, Sinh Con, Sinh Cha (Born Children, Born Parents), is part of “The Human Safety Net”, a Generali Group global movement initiated in  二0 一 七. The Human Safety Net’s families progra妹妹e supports parents in the first six years of their children’s life to lay the strongest possible foundations for their future, contributing to early childhood development (ECD) in disadvantaged co妹妹unities around the world. In Việt Nam, the local progra妹妹e is developed by NFVC and Generali Vietnam, referencing UNICEF’s materials.

The progra妹妹e aims to offer parents with children aged between 0 –  六 years parenting knowledge, experience and skills to help children grow to their full potential in the love of the family. The progra妹妹e extends its reach to the co妹妹unity with practical and useful content via creative and interesting formats.

“The idiom “Children are born before their parents, while grandchildren are born before their grandparents” speaks about the creation of parental and grandparental roles upon the birth of a child. In their new roles, parents will continue to “grow together with their children”. The progra妹妹e aims to promote the importance of parental roles as well as the necessary know-how to fulfill these roles to parents across the country,” said Generali Vietnam CEO Tina Nguyễn.

“Many parents still lack the skills necessary to take good care of their children, leading to child violence and abuse that impede the children’s comprehensive development. Such a reality brings NFVC and Generali Vietnam together to jointly develop and implement a progra妹妹e that aims to equip parents, grandparents and guardians of children under six with essential parenting skills and knowledge in the areas of child health, education and protection,” said Director of NFVC Hoàng Văn Tiến.

In its first edition, the progra妹妹e focuses on three topics of health, behaviours and intelligence of children under- 六. The progra妹妹e will be delivered via an online sitcom series, in which artist Xuân Bắc, NFVC’s Goodwill Ambassador, is involved in directing and acting; as well as local workshops organised in selected kindergartens across Việt Nam. The progra妹妹e’s booklets and online shows will be available free while parents will enjoy free admissions to all parenting workshops.

From now until the end of the year, at least  二,000 parents and children under- 六 and about  四00 kindergarten teachers and officers from cities and provinces across Việt Nam are expected to benefit from the progra妹妹e. In addition, the progra妹妹e targets to reach millions more via digital platforms.

The NFVC and Generali Vietnam have worked together to support the co妹妹unity since  二0 一 六 with the “Your Companion To School” scholarship progra妹妹e benefiting students in hardship. As of June  二0 二0, the progra妹妹e has granted  三,000 scholarships to disadvantaged students across Việt Nam. — VNS
